In the open spaces of the Tambov region, the process of harvesting in fields with grain and legumes began on June 28 this year. Despite what was planned for the first weeks of July.
The reason for this was sunny weather and high air temperature, which accelerated the maturation of crops. However, in the last few days, regional fields have been attacked by heavy rains, and in some places even hail, which significantly complicates the professional tasks of local farmers.
Such information was shared by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The department also noted that at the moment it was possible to harvest only from eleven thousand hectares of agricultural land. For clarity, we note that this is only one percent of the originally planned plan.
Bad weather violates the campaign regime, so today the yield in the Tambov region is not more than thirty centners per hectare of wheat fields.
As for the territories sown with rye, here the average productivity indicator is even less - only twenty-five centners per hectare. If we talk about the land with peas, then in this case we are talking about no more than fifteen centners per hectare.
Areas of the region such as Uvarovsky and Zherdevsky, which managed to thresh sixty percent of the total volume of pea crops, are succeeding in collecting grain and leguminous raw materials.
In the meantime, in the Rzhaksinsky and Muchkap districts, plowing of plows began.
