According to information shared by employees of the Leningrad Oblast Administration, manufacturers intend to send mainly provisions of farm origin to the foreign market.
Based on analysts' forecasts, increasing the region’s export potential in five years will allow it to receive revenues of about four hundred and ninety-six million dollars.
It is known that in this regard, producers of the Leningrad Region rely on chicken eggs, grain and poultry meat. They intend to realize the increase in the supply volume using the capacities of a unique terminal in the city of Vysotsk.
Note that the agreement on the construction of a new hub in Vysotsk was adopted as part of the International Economic Forum, which was held in St. Petersburg last week.
At the same time, the parties agreed that annually the terminal will transship about four million tons of products, of which half, based on plans outlined for 2024, will be delivered to the foreign market.
It is reported that the terminal will be adjacent to the wheat processing and gluten making plant, as well as syrups and starch.
It will not be superfluous to note that the amount of financial investments in the implementation of all points of the project is about seven billion rubles.
