At the municipal stable “Dagestanskaya” they set an optimistic and noble goal - to revive the unique breed of Akhal-Teke horses, which differ not only in their amazing palette of colors, but also stand out from other breeds with grace, gentle movements, sophisticated features and, at the same time, fairly strong constitution.

For decades, Dagestan horse breeders bred incredibly beautiful Akhaletekins who were bred many hundreds of years ago. However, to date, representatives of this breed, who are also called “heavenly horses” for their unearthly beauty, remain catastrophically few.

In order to revive the Russian population of these horses and keep their gene pool for generations to come, Dagestan horse breeders, using the generous help of the Russian government (in the amount of 13 million rubles in 2019), intend to actively engage in the search and breeding of Alkhal-Teke horses, and also plan to build a special for them hippodrome, resume holding equestrian competitions and build a wellness center for horses and horse breeders. The project is planned to be implemented on the basis of public-private partnership.
