The Association of Cattle Breeders of Ukraine received a response from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on the issue of gray import of pork, in which the relevant ministry, in fact, has removed itself from the problem of gray import of pork. This was reported by the press service of the association.
Recall, back in December last year, the Head of the Association of Livestock Breeders Irina Palamar addressed the Government and personally to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman with an official letter to resolve the situation with gray pork imports.
This was due to the growth in the domestic market of gray pork, which comes from abroad through illegal schemes, which caused very serious threats to the Ukrainian producer and sanitary and epidemiological welfare in the country.Recently, the Association of Cattle Breeders of Ukraine received a response from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy regarding the gray import of pork, in which the relevant ministry advised contacting law enforcement agencies. This is the letter of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy dated 03/12/2019 No. 37-15-15 / 6511 in response to the appeal of the Association of livestock breeders dated 12.19.2018 No. 24653/0 / 2-18.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy did not take any measures to essentially solve the problem of gray imports of pork in Ukraine, which the Association of Livestock Breeders raised in its appeal. Although the authority has at least the authority to independently apply on its own behalf to other competent authorities, as well as to law enforcement agencies. The government imposed a resolution - to consider the Ministry of Agrarian Policy appeal from the Association of Livestock Breeders within its competence, as early as December 19, 2018 (resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 24653/0 / 2-18). The formal formal reply of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy took 5 months.
