At the international agricultural exhibition "Agro-2019", which will last from June 4 to 7, the country's first "Ring of pedigree goats" will be held, shares information from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the appraisal and qualification “Ring” of breeding goats of different breeds will open. There will also be a special stand dedicated to the cultivation and breeding of pedigree goats in Ukraine, as well as the improvement of their breeding qualities.

The “Ring” for animals will be held by the Association of Breeding Goats and the Institute of Animal Husbandry of the Steppe Areas named after M.F. Ivanova "Askania-Nova." As an industry partner, the Combiboard Business Club will be present.

Olga Trofimtseva, acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on her page on the social network Facebook wrote that the cultivation of goats can be interesting for small producers, as well as for cooperative management.

Trofimtseva expressed her conviction that goat breeding has great prospects for the development of rural settlements, since the production of goat milk today is a craft niche business. Goat breeding attracts HoReCa, green tourism, and many other non-agricultural activities in rural areas, as well as export.

Agro-2019 is the largest agricultural exhibition in Ukraine. This year it will be held for the 31st time. More than 1300 participants from 17 countries of the world are expected to gather on 34.2 thousand m² of exhibition space.
