Visitors to DairyTech 2020 got acquainted with the latest equipment and materials for cheese production from world leaders, and also learned all the trends and market analytics on the business program.
The volume of the Russian cheese market in the assessment of natural indicators shows an increase of 11%. Such data leads the study “The Cheese Market in Russia: Research and Forecast until 2023”, conducted by the marketing agency ROIF Expert in 2019.
In an interview with Agroinvestor, Artyom Belov, CEO of Soyuzmoloko, commented on the growth dynamics: “The trend of a significant increase in cheese consumption is indeed observed. Moreover, positive dynamics was noted for the first time in at least the last five years. ”, - he said.
According to Agroinvestor, in 2014-2018 the production of cheese and cheese products increased by 33%, as a result of which this category became the fastest growing in the dairy industry, according to the annual report of Rusagro. The cheese market remains extremely attractive for investments because of its size, low level of consolidation, as well as the growth potential due to consistent import substitution and exports to Asian countries, the report said.

Elena Vorontsova summed up the third day of the business program: “Today was a very interesting event. We tried to maximize the coverage of both analytics and trends. We had retail representatives and manufacturers. We studied cheese analytics by region. Learned niche features. For example, the niche of organic cheeses, which is only just emerging. Now the most important thing is not to go into a super-competitive niche, but to invent new types of cheese, to produce a decent Russian product that can find a market not only in our country, but also abroad.
DairyTech is a unique venue where all professionals who speak the same language gather. We discuss different issues, arrange debates, we listen to each other. At the same time, everyone expresses his opinion. This is a platform where you can hear about trends and ask a specific question that professionals will answer. This is really an exhibition where you come not only to find equipment, but also to chat with your colleagues. It is very important. Looking forward to seeing you at DairyTech next year. ”
The DairyTech 2020 exhibition will continue its work until February 21 at Crocus Expo IEC, Pavilion 2.
