About 100 residents of Mirgorod protested against the emergence of an elevator in the territory of the Lesok microdistrict.
According to Alexei Stavitsky, chairman of the microdistrict council, Andrei Udovichenko, a businessman from Zinkov, bought abandoned chemical warehouses and leased land, where he plans to build an elevator.
The business representative himself answers that he plans to build not an elevator, but hangars for grain storage. He says that at first the idea of an elevator was, but when he met with local authorities, the entrepreneur realized that his plan was unpromising.Andrey Udovichenko reports that he wants to repair the storage facilities and store grain in them. He says that people do not want to listen to him and only agree that a city park should be set up at this place. But for what money he will exist here, the people do not think. The entrepreneur offers the local authorities to buy out warehouses from him and meet the citizens.
Local residents voted unanimously against the appearance of the elevator. They declare that they want to live in a normal zone and breathe fresh air.During a meeting of a businessman with residents of Mirgorod, which lasted 1 hour, it was not possible to reach an agreement. 12 policemen were on duty at the scene; they did not record any irregularities.
