An amazing incident occurred on a farm in Brittany in France. There, the hens, having pounced, to death killed a fox that had crept towards them.

The incident occurred on a farm in the Gros-Chene agricultural school in northwestern France. During a morning walk, school students found a fox in the corner of a chicken coop, which was probably fatally injured in the neck by chicken pecks.

Having burst through the automatic door of the hatch into a chicken coop with thousands of chickens, the young fox was apparently captured by the furious inhabitants and subsequently pecked to death. Pascal Daniel, the head of the farm at the school told the French news channel AFP that it was a chicken herd instinct, and they attacked the fox with their beaks. According to him, it was a mass attack, and the fox most likely panicked in front of the hens.

Later, the daily French newspaper, known for its attention to local and national news of Ouest France, Pascal Daniel added, the victim was still young and small, about 60 cm long, fox, aged five to six months. And besides, he did not seem sick, and in any case, the fox did not have scabies. The hens have been on the farm for more than seven months since July last year, and probably managed to learn how to defend themselves during this time.
