Just ten days later, on July 13, 2019, in the territory of the Tyumen region, local residents of Tatar origin will hold a large-scale holiday.
The festive action is traditionally called Sabantuy (an annual national holiday in honor of the end of spring field work among Tatars and Bashkirs), and the venue will be the village of Sannikovo, located in the Tobolsk region of the region.
According to the organizers, the honorary guests of the event will be delegates from different parts of the region, including farmers, pastoralists, culinary specialists, as well as creative groups and representatives of sports organizations.
The highlight of the festival is horse racing, for which local horse breeders have chosen their best horses.
In addition to horse riding, the festival also awaits the championship in a special type of wrestling - on belts - called “Kuresh”. In addition, everyone will be able to join the participation in master classes from local farmers, who will gladly teach the guests of the holiday the proper preparation of their favorite Tatar delicacies.
In particular, pastoralists and farmers will share secret recipes for mutton stew with onions and tomatoes, as well as teach Tatar donuts, pies and tortillas made from different types of flour, made by local agricultural producers.
