The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine reports that in January-April of this year, domestic producers exported 1 million 48 thousand 962 tons of soybeans, receiving $ 344 551 thousand for this.
At the same time, the amount of soybeans imported for the same period in 2019. The purchase of a foreign product cost Ukraine $ 2,396 thousand.
For comparison, in 2018, 981 tons of product, from the sale of $ 831,198 thousand. Import deliveries of soybeans amounted to 5 thousand 298 tons. Acquisition of foreign products cost Ukraine $ 3855 thousand.
According to preliminary data, in 2017, soybean exports amounted to 2 million 866 thousand 549 tons. The sum from the sale of products was equal to $ 1 million 59 thousand 597. In the same year, Ukraine sold 9 thousand 786 tons of product to other countries, receiving for this $ 5 787 thousand
It was previously reported that according to data as of April 1, 2019, soybean stocks in Ukraine amounted to 1.6 million tons, which is a record high and 600 thousand tons more than last year.
According to analyst Yulia Garkavenko, the main reason for this increase in soybean stocks in the country is a reduction in its export supplies. This happened due to the cancellation of VAT refunds when exporting soy. The new law entered into force in September 2018.
