One of the leading producers of garlic in Ukraine, Trading House Zarya Plus from the Kherson region plans to start harvesting a new variety of Tauride garlic in 5-6 days, the head of the farm Seyran Yakovlev said in a statement. Compared to last year, the farm expects a significantly better yield of more than 12 t / ha.

The mild weather conditions of this winter favorably influenced the state of garlic. The culture wintered well and did not freeze. Currently, the weather established in the Kherson region, contributes to the active development of garlic.

According to the farmer, a demonstration seminar was held last week in the fields where garlic is grown. Seminar participants could see how the Tauride variety is grown and in what condition.

“Thanks to the quality planting material, garlic had an active vegetation. We plan to harvest a good crop. The heads are healthy, not affected by anything, the weather was favorable for development, ”said Seyran Yakovlev.

Earlier it was reported that the company Trading House "Zarya Plus" received an copyright certificate for a deduced Tauric type of garlic. Currently, this variety is grown on 150 hectares of farm land.
