Compared with the prices for lard last month, December was an unusually profitable period for this product - for a month the cost of Ukrainian delicacy increased by 4.9%.
“If we compare the current value of fat with the one that was recorded at the beginning of 2018, then we are talking about a rise in price by almost 7%. At the beginning of the year, both lard and pork cost on average 27 hryvnias cheaper than today, experts say. “And this is not the limit: fat will rise in price in the coming weeks more and more!”
