According to data from 2018, poultry farming consumes the largest amount of feed, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

The poultry industry in Ukraine is showing steady growth. From here comes the high demand for animal feed. The production of feed for poultry is not only profitable due to the constant high demand, but also tends to increase. State support for poultry farmers only improves the situation in the industry as a whole and in terms of the consumption of animal feed for poultry.

A completely different dynamics is observed in the cultivation of cattle and pigs. These industries are going through hard times. The number of livestock is declining, feed consumption is falling, and government support is not effective enough.

Analysts predict the preservation of the current dynamics in the feed market if the state does not intervene.

It was previously reported that the number of pigs and cattle in agricultural enterprises and among the population has sharply decreased. There are especially few beef cows left in Ukraine - only 1.3% of the total.
