Experts from the Ministry of Agriculture note that these figures exceed the figures of previous years: for example, in 2017, only 270 hectares of greenhouses were at the disposal of farmers.

“Every year, the number of winter greenhouse plants is growing by about 15%,” analysts say. - True, at the moment the process is slightly slowed down, but the positive dynamics continues to persist. At this pace, agricultural participants in Russia intend to commission at least 260 hectares of new greenhouses in 2019. By 2020, it is planned to open at least 250 greenhouses of a new generation. ”

Agricultural workers involved in the cultivation of greenhouse crops are convinced that they will be able to harvest at least 1.3 million tons of greenhouse crops by the end of the coming season. And five years later, optimistic farmers are convinced, they will be able to achieve a mark of two million tons of greenhouse vegetables.
