At once, several regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan will engage in external shipments of agricultural products such as melon to the market of the People’s Republic of China.
In particular, it is known that producers from Syrdarya, Kashkadarya, Khorezm and Jizzakh regions will export sweet fruits to Chinese consumers.
Such information was shared by representatives of the public relations department of the State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate, which operates under the supervision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The department also hastened to note that the corresponding initiative was put forward by Abdulla Aripov, the Uzbek prime minister after his recent return from a working trip to China.
The Chinese, by the way, only rejoiced at the prospect of the emergence of Uzbek high-quality melons on their shelves.
Having issued an appropriate permit after all necessary quality and phytosanitary compliance tests were taken, the Chinese side said that it was also not against purchasing agricultural products such as lemons, pomegranates and grapes from Uzbek producers.
