Ms. Tuk Ahn, Director of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam's Center for Young Entrepreneurs Support (BSSC), said that a BSSC-sponsored program is launched annually with thousands of participating projects, including those related to agriculture. The share of startups for agriculture is growing every year. This year, the number of such projects accounts for 46%.
Direct speech: “When developing the program, we realized that many agricultural enterprises needed to optimize the process to ensure the quality of their products. Therefore, BSSC collaborates with the High-Tech Agricultural Business Club and the Private Economic Forum to organize business selection programs that connect trade between agricultural technology projects and entrepreneurs, ”said Ms. Tuk An.
Up to 90% of Vietnamese farms are family owned enterprises.
The first program was held in October with the participation of 10 agricultural enterprises and 15 technology startups. The results were quite satisfactory.
Direct speech: “Our search program is still ongoing, so any technology business plan that wants to connect can contact us,” Ms. An added.
Another unit that also provides up to 80% support for projects related to agriculture is the Vietnam Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Fund (SVF).
