An agricultural entrepreneur in the Leningrad Region, an experienced poultry farmer Vladimir Shushkov, made an ambitious decision: from now on, he intends to sell the products of his own farming company Rus, not to wholesale buyers, but to retail customers on the shelves of his own distribution network.
It is known that Rus, owned by Shushkov, is located in the city of Kirovsk and specializes in growing white broad-breasted turkeys. Vladimir has been carrying out this type of activity since 2006, annually supplying the market with more than forty-five tons of poultry meat.
It is noteworthy that some of the meat products of Shushkov previously came to the manufacturers of semi-finished products, which sold their goods on the shelves of the most popular Russian stores. However, now the farmer is confident that he can supply poultry meat to the table of the domestic consumer without intermediaries.
To implement a bold project to open his own retail network, Vladimir intends to seriously “invest”. We are talking about investments in the amount of about one hundred and fifty million rubles.
The amount is serious, but the government regarded the Shushkov project as potentially beneficial for the Russian economy and agriculture. Therefore, the poultry farmer will receive the required money from the Small Business Support Fund. Vladimir is sure that in the first five years of his own retail network, he will be able to recoup investments.
It is reported that the network of trade pavilions that will sell the meat products of the Rus company will be opened in St. Petersburg and in other cities of the Leningrad region. To ensure that all outlets have enough meat, Vladimir Shushkov intends to increase turkey production by three times.
